Founder and CEO

Lwanga Nasser is the founder and CEO of the Aakifah Foundation, with a robust background in Islamic Faith NGOs dating back to 2014. Holding a degree in Mass Communication, Nasser has used his academic foundation to enhance effective communication and outreach within the organization. In 2021, he established the Aakifah Foundation to channel his expertise and compassion into creating positive change. Operating from Uganda, Nasser's charitable endeavors extend across various cities, including Kampala, Mbale, Mukono, Wakiso, Soroti, and Jinja. The foundation's impact transcends geographic boundaries, reaching districts such as Budaka, Butebo, Bugiri, Mayuge, Mpigi, and Iganga, among others. Nasser is known for his hands-on approach, directly involving himself in the implementation of the foundation's initiatives.

COO and TREASURER

Ssebuliba Sadala brings a unique blend of skills and experiences to his roles as Treasurer and Projects Manager at Aakifah Foundation. With a degree in Public Administration, he has a comprehensive understanding of governmental processes and organizational management. His diverse background includes extensive experience in retail management within supermarkets and project management in construction companies. This multifaceted skill set proves invaluable to the organization, with his tenure in supermarkets honing his ability to manage resources efficiently, optimize operations, and ensure a seamless customer experience.

EXECUTIVE MEMBER/REGIONAL COORDINATOR

Nambalirwa Rashida, a dedicated regional coordinator with Aakifah Foundation, excels in her professional duties and indulges her passion for traveling during her leisure time. With a diploma in cooking, Rashida brings a unique blend of culinary expertise and humanitarian spirit to her role, enriching her experiences both professionally and personally

EXECUTIVE MEMBER/CAMPAIGNS COORDINATOR

Kyomugisha Aisha brings a dynamic and creative flair to her pivotal role as Campaigns Coordinator at Aakifah Foundation. Armed with a degree in Fashion and Design, Kyomugisha's background infuses her work with a keen sense of aesthetics and innovation, elevating the organization's outreach efforts and community engagement to new heights. With a foundation in the fashion industry, Kyomugisha possesses an innate understanding of aesthetics and design principles, which she skilfully applies to create visually appealing and impactful campaigns for Aakifah Foundation.

Kavunani Tamisi serves as the dedicated Education Coordinator at Aakifah Foundation, driven by a profound passion for nurturing young minds and empowering communities through education. Currently pursuing a degree in Education, Kavunani's academic pursuit reflects her commitment to enhancing her knowledge and skills in the field of education, ensuring she is equipped to make a lasting impact in the lives of others.

EXECUTIVE MEMBER/SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLER

Nansereko Atika serves as the Social Media Handler for Aakifah Foundation, bringing expertise and creativity to the organization's online presence. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Studies, Nansereko combines technical knowledge with a passion for digital marketing and content creation, enhancing the foundation's outreach and engagement with the global community. Her background in digital marketing and content creation allows her to craft engaging and impactful social media strategies that effectively communicate the mission and initiatives of Aakifah Foundation.

GENENRAL COUNSEL

Isaac Kiyuba serves as the General Counsel for Aakifah Foundation, providing expert legal guidance to support the organization's mission. His role ensures that Aakifah operates within legal frameworks while upholding transparency and accountability in all initiatives. Isaac oversees contracts, compliance, and governance, safeguarding the foundation’s interests and enabling smooth execution of projects such as school construction, water well installations, and healthcare development. His dedication helps the foundation maintain its commitment to serving vulnerable communities with integrity and excellence.
